Carburator number ? 1981 stock engine
Gents....
1981 Stock engine.
Need to take out and clean stock carb on 1981 corvette.
I will need to order carburator kit etc...
Is there a number on the carb ?
Can't find it and will the clerk ask for that unknown number when I submit my order ?
Can anyone give me some assistance ?

The guy at the parts counter will just want the year, model and auto or manual tranny, but it is good to check that the kit he gives you is for your specific carb #. The carb number is located on the driver's side of the carb main body. It will be 17081218 if auto or 17081217 if manual.
