Default Ported Vacuum Switch...which color?

I bought my '75 Roadster with a non-stock intake manifold and decided to go "factory". Purchased a '75 intake and am now putting on the TVS and other factory parts and just bought a Ported Vacuum Switch. The guy at the counter asked me "what color do you want"....the color indicates the temperature range. My answer was "blue" which is the 125 to 131 degree range. I have a 180 temp thermostat so I thought 125 to 131 was the one to get. What is the theory of different temp ranges...did I get the correct one? Thanks.

at the certain temp range the switch is rated for it open. there is a wax inside the base that becomes hot and melts (or so i researched) and allows the valve to open. for instance the 79 has a yelllow, purple and some a blue too.
check this page (2) at bottom for the replacement one you need
