1981 Wiper Harness Diode Size?

1981 Wiper Harness Diode Size?
On the harness that plugs into the wiper motor on my 81, there is a diode between the purple and white wires. Because of some "bubba" wiring that was on my car, this little diode turned to smoke last night while trying to clean some stuff up.
Does anyone know what size this diode is? Or, if you have one, can you tell me what numbers are printed on the diode?

Radio Shack had lots of remote control cars and cell phones, but very little in the form of any type of electronic components. I wasn't able to find the one you mentioned, but I grabbed a few other small ones. I will give them a try and let everyone know what happens.
