Default Lokar cable alignment

I got the Lokar throttle and kick down cables installed. It looks nice, however, I don't like the angle of the cable as it attaches to the carb.

So for the Lokar cables, should I bend the mounting bracket to get rid of the angle?

Or does it not even matter and I should leave it alone?

Thanks
KO

Remember that as the throttle opens the cable connection to the carb linkage will get lower. I would square the bracket to the cable with the throttle open or close to it. Also, make absolutely sure that you cable length is right. If your cable is even a little short the end of the cable at the pedal will pull through the plastic bushing they supplied you (ask me how I know) which results in a walk home. Another thing is to make sure the cable comes out of the firewall fairly straight. The plastic firewall connector will break fairly quickly if not.

Sorry to bring this back up, but I have a similair issue with the cable alignments. Did you ever get it sorted? What transmission are you using as I see you have the Holley kickdown bracket 20-121 installed not? Is it a 700R4 and did you get the TV setup correct

Thanks
Nick
