dumb noob horn question please
ok, my vette did not have a horn button etc when i bought it, so I have no reference. I bought the horn button and retainer and the round collar for the horn button, which all came together with the button and collar taped together. they call snap into each other through the three little tiny studs on the inside of the collar but there doesn't seem to be a way to keep them together, no screws or anything to keep the horn button attached to the collar and also to keep both of those attached to the retainer.

i need the instructions for dummies i guess, all i can think of is to stick an awl or something into the tiny studs and spread them so the entire assembly can stay together but before i ruin the new collar i thought i better ask here first.
What am I missing? are there supposed to be some screws to hold the three pieces together, because without something to hold it all together the button and collar will just fall back off.

Yep 3 plastic rivets holds the retainer together. If they are broken you can replace them with 3 nylon bushings 3 nylon washers and three pop rivets. All can be found at Ace Hardware. Just becareful how you assemble it.
