Random Power Loss
Im troubleshooting a little problem I am having, and so far I havent been successful in figuring out whats causing it.
In second gear (and only in second gear as far as I can tell) when WOT right at 3000 RPM's it feels like the car falls flat on its face.. Almost like the secondary's aren't staying open or something. It feels like the power is cut in half. First gear it pulls strong to red line, same with 3rd and 4th.
I have pulled the air cleaner off to watch the carb, and I am not seeing any issues. Solid fuel stream, looks like its opening fine when I rev it. I changed the plugs the other day but have not swapped wires yet. I also dont think its the transmission/clutch slipping as it continues to rev normally, its not spiking up like a normal clutch slip would.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Its a 4 speed, 350 crate motor, edelbrock performer rpm intake and edelbrock performer carb.
