on my 81, the polution stuff has been eliminated. do i really need the egr valve????????? another thing, after fighting this thing for three months with the some times rough idle and poor running. maybe, i say maybe found the problem. new ecm and m/c solenoid. so far so good. namvet
This was going to be my next question that I asked on the site, you beat me to it.
I have removed the AIR pump and related hoses and the cat. What else do I need to remove to take off the EGR? Or, have I already achieved this by removing the items I stated?
I know that you can buy a block off plate for the EGR so that would be my next move.
some of the problems that you have been having maybe because the stuff that was taken off was not blocked off verry good .you may have some vacuume leaks .
