Default rear end yokes

rebuilt rear end and installing new yokes.is there a certian way the yokes end should be facing.i have two differnet manuals that tell me two differnet things.one says the yokes should face the same way one says they should be at 90deg from each other. is there any diferance or correct way.

Makes no difference. As the wheels turn around corners they will turn at different speeds and will change constantly. Just slide them in in whatever position.

Yes, it's a bit of a 'yoke' putting those instructions in shop manuals. Nobody really knows why it's there.
