Default SB vs BB weight/springs

OK another question as I narrow down the gap between a ZZ383 and ZZ502 for my 79...

Whats the weight diff between and aluminum head and intake equipped small block (ZZ383) and an aluminum head and intake equipped big block (ZZ502)?

How do they both compare to an iron head and manifold equipped small block?

What about springs? Should I put Big block springs in it if I go with the ZZ502.

Sorry If I'm spliting hairs at this point but I am still on the fence a little but it is gonna be one of those two engines.

(Thanks for all the feedback so far, this is a great forum with some knowledgeable and informative members. As well as polite!)

Yeah, I hear ya, I am looking for specific weights of each package, thought maybe somebody here would have it.

Chevy's crate engine comparison chart looks like it's about a 200lb difference between the two.
