Default Gauge Question X 2

After doing some dashboard recovering on my 78 L-82 I ran into three things (yes, only three):

1. During cleaning/testing I believe I shorted out the little circuit board on the Low Fuel warning light bulb holder. Now my gas gauge is not working; although it seems pretty straight forward I have to ask: Is the little circuit board related to gas gauge function?

2. Before my "improvements" my tachometer would stick when the car was first started. If I revved it a bit the tach would start working. After my improvements the tach will bounce around a bit once in awhile but it is basically nonfunctional. It is an electronic tach, where do I start to debug?

3. One of my improvements was replacing the headlight switch. Post improvements (with the new switch) the brake/tail lights and turn signals do not function when the headlights are on, but OK when they are off. Could this be related to the new headlight switch? Or the Ground Gnomes?

Someday I will learn not to mess with the stuff thats working, but not this time.

Thanks

Check the printed circuit board if You fried something is one of the first things that will go.
Changing the light dimmer I burned a couple of fuses, You might want to check that.
Good Luck:
