Q-jet Trivia!
I was thinking about qjets, mainly because a friend is asking about them.
When did the idle mixture screws get capped on Q-jets? What year? or is it model specific.
My original 78 vette qjet has them un capped but looks like someone possibly machined the caps out.

Mike,
My 72 came with plastic caps that limited the travel of the idle screws. I think you meant the metal caps that gave you no adjustment at all. I am not sure of the year for the metal caps, but it had to be latter than 75.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the first year was 1980 with the computer controlled QJet's on the LG4 305. Luckily by the time I had bought mine someone had already removed all the plugs!
