My speedo didn't work when I bought the car. The guy said it was a bad cable. No biggie. However I have a bunch of other stuff to do under the dash so I say to myself "I'll wait until I do all of the other stuff to fix the cable."
Well yesterday I'm in the garage and I get under the dask to take a look at what all I think I want to replace when I see the speedo. No cable attached. Hmmm he must have pulled the "bad" cable. So now I go under the car the see if the little gears are missing from the trans. Nope, there's a cable attched... So I go back under the dask and look around again. What do I find? the end of the speedo cable.
Plug it in, start up the car, back it out and BINGO! Speedo works!

No, I like the obvious stuff, because it's the only stuff I can fix! Did I tell you about the time I managed to get my car started after putting gas in the tank? :) MJ

I agree that someone was probably avoiding putting mileage on the car, it's fairly common unfortunately......but hey you have a working speedo now so that out to be nice

Yeah, that's the firt thing I thought of. :mad Of course the title is milage exempt (probably beacuse of this) but since it's not a #s matching or highly valuable car I'm not too concerned about it...
