Default Leaf spring spacer

I received my new composite leaf spring today, and it is half the thickness of the steel 9 leaf spring i took out. Where are you guys getting your spacers from to make up the difference? Nothing came with the spring? I have access to machine shops here, i kinda wish i would of bought a steel replacement spring now that i have to start fabricating stuff now?

I believe that 3 bolt mount needs 1 metal vertical spacer and a 2 horizontal composite spacers. The composite springs usually float in the mount unlike the 9 leaf that is bolted solid.

After calming down and looking at it some more, i will make 2 spacers and put the spring in the middle so as not to change the initial ride height. Will call ecklers Mnday and see what they have to say. They also screwed up my order and missed some parts? Time to look at a different vendor i guess.

You might need this vertical spacer if the spring has rubber on top and bottom to get the 2 rear longer bolts to reach torque levels.

The spring has a plastic strip bonded to both sides of it with a centering pin on both sides.

Here is the spring i got, it is 1-3/16 thick, so i need a 1-3/16 spacer to make it the same thickness as the factory spring which is 2-3/8.

Spoke to Hypercoil and they confirmed that there should be a spacer. They told me how to install it correctly as well. Ecklers is going to make good on the missing parts as well. Justin from Ecklers is great to deal with.

Is that correct that composite springs should float and not be bolted solid. Mine has been solid for 10 years now. Should I be concerned?

This one looks like it is a solid mount. I have heard that some should float? I guess it depends on the spring itself.
