'72 Wiper door will not open!
Worked fine last week, went to use it tonight, and the wiper door wouldn't open! It wouldn't open with the manual over ride switch either! I disconnected the vaccum hoses from the wiper door actuator, and then manually opened the door and then the wipers operated fine.
Where do I start to look? How do I troubleshoot this?

Okay, I fixed the problem. I checked the vacuum system while the engine was running; specifically I checked for vacuum on both hoses from the wiper door actuator and found them to both be operational. Then I focused on the actuator itself, and quickly found the actuator rod seal (AKA "the witche's hat") had somehow popped out of place. Pressed it back in, and it works fine now.
