Problem with parking brake adjustment, need advise
Posted last week about how to adjust the parking brakes on a 1979.
Finally had the time today. Pulled the rear wheels and have the
star adjusters so there is no drag on the rotors. The parking brake
cable is adjusted as tight as possible, cable was replaced a few
years ago. Is there any way to tighten the parking brake cable
where it connects to the parking brake lever?

Pulling and replacing the rotors on a Vette still leaves a little room for error, since you have no adjustment holes you have to go by trail and error. Try 3 or 4 clicks tighter on the adjusters and then try again. The parking brake should hold tight after pulling the handle up 14 clicks and not drag when released. PG.
The end of the front cable that connects to the rear cable is adjusted
as tight as possible. Maybe I am expecting too much from the
emergency brake. The brake will hold on a moderate incline especially
if the rear of the car is pointing down the hill. To get the brake
to hold you have to pull very firmly on the emergency brake handle.
Are the emergency brakes on other corvettes working better?
