wood dash panels--yes,no, comments
1979- any comments on the wood[or fake] appliques for the
console, speedo, tach and gauge area? I think they look good in the pictures, What would be the best if you like them?

There is not one applique that has ever impressed me. The delux wood trim on the side panels in my 74 is far from impressive. What kind of wood could be cut to fit and have the kind of shine that looks like it was made for a high quality car? PG.

I think that the wood appliques can look good. The ones I had for many years did begin to wear though to the point where i took them off.
When searching for replacements I was somewhat surprised to find a picture of my interior being used as an image on E-bay for the selling of wood dash kits. As a matter of fact I recognise a number of interiors on e-bay that I've seen first here.
I know I didnt purchase the wood dash from that vendor and I doubt very much that they are all the same - I got mine from mid-america - it was a fake wood covering with a deep burlwood finish and gloss...

,don't forget to order the vinyl roof,opera windows and wire wheel covers while you are at it.
