Brake bleed simple questions?
These may be stupid questions but here goes:
1. Does the engine of my 78 need to be running during brake bleed process?
2. Dot 3 or Dot 5?
3. Can I mix Dot 3 & Dot 5?

Not running and NO do not try mixing them. If you are running DOT 3 just use a high quality fluid, something like Castrol which is rated DOT 4 rather than DOT3 for normal street use.

Read the "Sticky" at the top of this tech section. I never did this kind of stuff before and it helped me out a lot. My wife helped me and it worked great. Had a mechanic check it and he approved.
