does anyone use the MSD-8394 E-Curve distributor?

i tryed to use it but my one wont fire while cranking.
my battery voltage drops down to 11.3V - 11.1V.measured straight on the battery.the battery is a new one,65AH.
i tryed a bigger one,80AH and its the same.
my old h.e.i. distributor dont have any problems with the low voltage.
i asked the MSD-Tech and they told me it needs completely 12V while cranking.
but its normal that the voltage will drop under 12V while cranking,or not?
so,if anyone use this one,how much voltage you get while cranking?

I have not looked at my AH rating. I use 850 -950 CCA . for street use.

racing you use small batteries and a jump start.
