I would go out to the garage and hear a ringing and it was the buzzer that when you leave the lights on. I would wiggle the **** and it would stop but did it repeatedly. I figured I needed a new switch. So I took the old one out and ordered a new one. I thought i would drive the car this morning and when I started it the tach and batter guage did not work and gen. light was on.
Is this from no switch pluged in or did I mess something else up????
Need some advice!
Lots of things plug into the headlight switch. The link below will take you to a 78' wiring schmatic which will be close to your 79'. You can see what circuits are affected.
I replaced the light switch and the buzzer stayed on even when the switch was turned off. So I unpluged the buzzer at the fuse box. The volt does not work and the tach moves but is not right.
What in the world did I do???? Even before the new light switch when ever the lights were turned on all the center gauges went dead except for the oil pressure. At least the lights worked in the center guage.
Realy frustrated!!
