I have a '76 and blew a hole in the coolant hose and I am not sure how to get it unhooked to replace it. Brute force didn't work and there doesn't appear to be any screws or clamping mechanism. I know I should be able to figure this out but I appreciate an answer to save me from breaking anything.
Thanks for your help and I would also appreciate any tips on what hose to use to replace it.

Reason: pics were too big to read
Your AC refrigerant hoses are an assembly that includes Bolt on and threaded fittings. Buy a new hose assembly, from one of the many forum supporting vendors or take your car to a local AC shop and have them make a new assembly with your old fittings. The AC shop will have the correct size high pressure hose and the equipment to crimp them properly to your fittings.
If it is a radiator hose, just undo the clamp and pull. If the hose is old, it will have glued itself to the pump or radiator. Just slice the hose lengthwise with a sharp knife and peel it off. You can get replacement hoses from NAPA or pay more for a the same hose from a Corvette vendor. Just install with new clamps.
Ignore my post since you are dealing with an AC hose.

The hose in your picture with a split rubber cover is part of the AC system. Nothing to do with the engine cooling. There is no hose of any type that goes from the overflow tank to the water pump.
