I am about to install a newer set of ceramic coated hooker side pipes with chrome pipes.
I don't really mind that they are matte colored compared to the chrome, but is there any performance or comfort (heat) value to wrapping them from the manifold to right before they exit the car?
Whow those look like crap! Seems I'm in the same boat as mine look the same.
My plan will be after a good blasting paint them black wrap the in car portion, Paint the wrap again, Just paint the side pipes. Once a year repaint. Did this on my chopper and looked fine and lasted the season. Just dont take a pressure washer to the wrap ever!

Reason: typo
Looks like the upper coating is holding fine. Hottest area... Lower section must be getting a lot of road debris chipping away the coating!
Hmm? may rip up any wrap if I go that low with it. Interesting!
Hi, i got my headers and sidepipes ceramic coated about 3 years ago and the headers look like crap now, sidepipes still look good, i'd wrap them from the word go in future, helps keep the engine bay cooler and keeps the heat in the exhaust.
