Default Rear diff reinstall - '68

Can someone verify the correct placement of my front carrier bushing kit? I have the larger bushing on top of the frame and the smaller one underneath. Also the crossmember bushings will not snug up when I try to torque the bolts. The bushings were really tough to break free when I removed the rear, but seemed to look OK so I'm re-using them. I tried some soap solution but no luck. Thx

The differential crossmember Sombrero bushings are supposed to have a gap similar to what you have there. As for your front bushing, the large "hat" shaped bushing goes on top and through the frame, then the "donut" one fits over that and against the bracket at the front of the differential. Then on the bottom of the front differential bracket you should have a large flat washer, lock washer and nut.

Thanks Scott, looks like I have the bushings reversed.
