I have been a long time reader (2004) but here's my first post
Which lights should come on before starting the car? After checking bulbs where do I go from there? Love the forum, U guys have helped me in countless issues as it's finally time to get the Vette back on the road and I would feel a little better knowing the CEL and other warning lights works.
Well, let's see...key in and turned to the first click - most of the warning lights like brake, oil pressure, temp, battery, etc. should go on. This position checks to make sure the bulbs work. If they don't and you're sure the bulbs are good, you could check the fuse block for a blown fuse. If all the bulbs don't light, then it's something like to fuse - if only one light doesn't work, then there is something wrong with that light.
You could also check for loose and corroded connections everywhere.
car starts fine, all the gauges work, (except the clock) dimmer for interior lights does not work(only on or off). head lamps warning light works when i turn on lights or leave them on .no lights come on at first click however door buzzer does work but light does not.
Oops - maybe it's the second click. Whatever - I meant the "on" position - the one just before you crank the starter. Do your lights come on in that position?
No warning lights come on, I don't even know where the location is for the Cel!! The head lamps light does work when I turn on or leave the lights on. Nothing comes on when the key is turned to acc or on position.
