Put in new Performer RPM cam, lifters, fuel pump, roller rockers, intake and heads. Hoping to get wiring finished this week and get everything else hooked up. Shooting to get it dyno'ed by the first of the following week. Will post up #s as soon as I get them.
Been thinking about a similar top end kit myself for a while. Would be interesting to see the HP figures, keep us informed!
What bottom end are you running?
Cheers,
Lester
I can't wait to see dyno numbers!! My dad has this set up on his 355, and I absolutely love it! I am just curious as to what numbers hes running which should be similar to yours..
What heads are ya running and what is the compression ratio?
I notice you have an electric water pump; I was thinking of installing one also.......my question, how are you routing your alternator?.....belt fit issues?.....power steering involved?
this looks awesome. i too am keen to hear what heads and if you get the numbers you wanted to achieve. looks nice and shiny. what rockers going on top? dont forget to post a pic when its all done.
Work has busted my tail for the past few days, haven't got a ton done. I do have the ps pump and alt. back on. I'll get a pic up of the pulley I've added to the head to get the belt to work tomorrow night.
I used comp cam rockers. 1.5 ratio. The heads come with girdles.
Edelbrocks quality, fit and finish played a large part in my decision to go with their products. Its also a HUGE help to talk to their tech folks. They can talk to you and not make you feel like an idiot.
I think you will be quite please with your decision. Many think that cam is way too large for the street. I beg to differ. Although it is a big cam having a duration of 308/318 with an overlap of 89 degrees. I've always been impressed by its performance. I've always heard people say that the RPM cam has no power below 3,000 RPM that has never been the case in my experience. Actually, I've found the cam to have good power down low with exceptional power up top. Keep us updated!
This is the pulley set up that I have. I went to a lawn mower store and they let me try 3 different sizes to see which one got the belt to miss the pump. This one has timken roller bearings and has lasted three years so far.
My car only sees the track and autocross courses. Its street manners at low RPM weren't really a factor.
