I'm doing some clean up in the engine compartment and I'm about to install one of those wiper compartment covers. While cleaning up the area I noticed two small supports on each side of the windowshield at the very bottom. One is nothing but rusted metal but the other has some sort of rubber as though it was a support. Each had two hex head small screws holding them on. I can't find any replacements in any of the catalogs or websites such as ecklers, Zip ect.. Can anyone tell me where to get replacements? Also has anyone installed one of those compartment covers, any advice?
If the two screws lined up horizontally, were located just inboard from the fenders and are about 3/4 inch apart, they support rubber filler pieces that diverted water coming down the windshield into the door jam or wiper tray. Several vendors carry these. I found mine at Corvette Central.
i want to get one of those compartment covers but the boss has cut off the money flow for the rest of the year.....maybe i will get it for christmas if i am real good
