Could someone please volunteer the location of the male connecter for the "console ground" on a '69? I have the double black wire and female connecter but for the life of can't determine where it goes.
Thanks!

Hmmm thats a good question Its a spade thats removable-goes under a screw. Seems like I remember it being under the screw that holds the shifter light bulb holder.

Don't know about 69 but on my 72 the female spade connector connects to the heater/air conditioning control unit on the right side near the top forward edge.

My 68 is the same as Cliff's only it's on the left side, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that it was moved some time in the past though.
Mr. W, I'm not sure how you can navigate the AIM so fast or how you can find the proper page with the speed you have. I've got the CD from you guys but I never seem to get the correct word or phrase until the 97th attempt. Have been looking since 6 this evening. Anyway, once again I bow to your prowess and thank you!

Jet. . .
I'd tell you but I would have to kill you. . . .
For starters, I’ve been playing with these cars for over thirty five years. . . .This gives me a little more insight on how or what to look for to find a picture.
In your case, I simply knew where the wire went so I searched for that part!
I knew the heater control was where the wire connected so I entered one word only. . . “control”. You have to keep the search simple.
Now in Adobe reader there is also a mega search function. It is not shown on the standard version but you can find it by going to your tools option and looking for the binoculars. If you check off this box it will put the binoculars on program and then when searched it will pull the word “control” and show every occurrence of this work in the book.
In your case, not knowing where the part connected, well you could have searched for just the word ground. . . You would have found this same page using just that one word find every occurrence of the word “ground” in the 1969 book.

Willcox, you've been working on these cars for 35 years AND you are computer/network/internet savvy? YOU ARE MY HERO!

Thank you, but I'm not all that sharp on these computers! I'm just now learning the video's and hey, I'm still using VHS tapes and have two DVD players. I just pick things up and try to lean from people smarter than me. It's easy to look good when you surround yourself with good people and I've been blessed with this!
The AIM's, well there is a story about what lead to these that I would never wish on anyone!
