Help. I removed my upper control arms last night and I lost the shims that were in the right side. I've searched high and low. They fell out of place and I can't find them.
2 questions:
1 - Where might they have fallen?
2 - Would they be the same thickness as the left side? I still have them.
They may not be the same as the other side. Mine have been found in the following locations:
- Between the fan shroud and the cross member.
- Sitting on the cross member at the brake line.
- Under the radiator hose.
- On top of the lower a-arm (as noted above)
- In the spring pocket of the lower a-arm.
- on the ground under the tires.
They fell out and landed neatly on my work bench, I measured them and will be installing next alignment. Thanks alot.
if they fall down on me Ill look for them until I find them

My car is a 1973.
Thanks in advance for any help.
1. Down
2. Not necessarily
They're just for camber, right? That's easy enough to set if you can't find them. Measure the angle of the other wheel (prob. set at 1/2 deg. or so) and match it up.
