Sudden performance loss
Hi all,
I had a situation last weekend where I'm toolin' along the highway at about 60 mph when all of a sudden I had no engine power and couldn't seem to get any, like it was lugging really badly. I thought it was going to die in the middle of the road, but after about 20 seconds everything was fine. I have a new (1 yr old) Edelbrock carb, and the car hadn't been started in about a month. Also, I just put some gas in (Arco) and I'm wondering if between the new gas and sitting for so long, maybe I had some bad fuel? Fuel line looks good, filter is fairly new but this would be my first suspect. Any ideas? This is a 327 4 SPD.

i think water in the tank is a pretty good guess. you could put about half a bottle of rubbing alcohol in the tank too help evaporate any water just to be sure.
of course topping the tank off with fresh fuel would also be good... along with the rubbing alcohol.
