I've been rebuilding my headlights for a couple of weeks now and I'm just about ready to put them back in the car. I'm double checking all my work and I noiticed that I dont have the support which has the adjustment for the stop on it. (You know the one that looks like a hockey stick!~) bars on the passanger side headlight! :mad
I called my local corvette junkyard (Contemporary Corvette) and they wont sell me just that arm, they want me to buy a complete assembly.
The worst part about this is I had an extra set in my tool box for a while, and I gave them to a friend who needed them. (had I known that I needed them - ugggh)
Does anyone have one that they could part with??? I need one for the Passanger side, but I'll be happy to pay!
This is the only part I need to get these things back together!!! :cry :cry :cry :cry

Thanks for looking Jim. I appreciate the effort.
Ed I think I'm going to run oveer to Contemporary today and see if I can coax them into letting me snag one. I can understand why they want me to buy a complete set but with a little luck maybe I can convince them to let me pull one off a wreck.... they have a million of them in there!!!
Re: Help! I need a part... does anyone have a.... (Mike69)
Well I went over to Contemporary today and I got another arm support. I guess they must have missunderstood me over the phone. Chirsin the yard new exactly what I was looking for. (he always does!!! It absolutely amazes me how he knows where every part is in that yard!!!)
Anyway, I'm back in business and the lights should be going back in tomorrow!!!!
Re: Help! I need a part... does anyone have a.... (Mike69)
Mike,
Glad to here you got your part. I was going to suggest going over there as they seem to be more flexible in person than on the phone. But after I screwed up the original message I figured that I would leave it alone. I just put the rubber stops on the end of the control arm that you just purchased. This helped tighten the whole unit. Now it wont bounce around so much when I am driving at night. Best of luck.

Oh man Ed you are killing me!!!!
You know the only part of the headlight assembly that isnt new or redone? I didnt Order those little rubber stops!!!! I figured they were unimportant!!!
Well I guess I'll reassemble the lights tomorrow as planned and then order those little buggers. I really didnt think they made a difference!!!! DOH!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Help! I need a part... does anyone have a.... (Mike69)
Mike,
You could get by with taking some old rubber hose and cut it to fit and glue it to the bolt while you are waiting for the new parts, Without the rubber cushion the headlights bang pretty good when the lift up. Dr Rebuilt has the rubber cushions at a good price.
