This is odd... v12 ferrari engine in a AC cobra... i didnt say shelby... but it isnt a chevy either :jester

Ganey - Yes, wonder how that would have changed history.....
Around the time that GM turned down Arkus-Duntov's request to build 100 special full race Corvette Grand Sports. Shelby wrangled 2 chassis from Chevrolet and had bodies put on them in Italy. GM did nothing with the project so he went to Ford for engines. The rest is history.
I did notice in the post above that the car is labeled "Shelby..... " Was ERA operated by Shelby? Kind of makes you wonder about the donor car - if it was an original Cobra or not?
