Default 76 A/C question

I just had a new evaporator and VIR installed on my 76.While I was at it,I switched to R134. My question is: If the blower switch is already on high-should there be a higher speed when you move the wheel from Norm to Max? I don't hear or feel a difference. I read some other threads which said there is a 30 amp in-line fuse going to the relay but I sure could not find one. I traced the wire from the firewall to the relay. Thanks for input!

The fan speed should not change when going to Max A/C a vacuum signal is sent to the heater hose shut off valve to shut off the hot water and also to the fresh air door to close it and recirculate the air.

If the hi speed on the fan is working then your hi speed relay and fuse are ok.
