I'm still getting an intermittent 'no start'. When I turn the key, everything seems normal. The radio comes on, the lights come on, ect. When I start to crank, nothing. not even a click. 10 to 20 minutes later everything is fine it starts right up. I checked the wires at the starter and at the battery. What's next? Could the solenoid be about to die?
It does this about once every few weeks. It's not heat related.
turn your headlamps on, try and start, if they stay on nice and brite no change,
you most likey have an interlock problem. or an open circuit,. good luck....69VETT
It's an auto.
I bypassed the Neutral safety switch and it didn't help. I already thought of that.
Once I find the problem I'm hooking the NSS back up. I'm careful until then.
I also tried tapping on the solenoid but that didn't help either.
maybe a poor connection of the purple start wire,
going thru the Fuse-Box connection ?
this assumes you have throughly checked all your power and gnd. connection right ?
OEM style high milelage starters, use a large copper washer,
that can, arc over and become intermitant.
thats a possibility also ? 69VETT
