I hooked 12v up to the choke on my carb (Holley). The motor will turn over but refuses to start. It starts right up when i disconnect the 12v.
I tried loosening the 3 screws and turning the choke till the plate almost closes but that didn't help.
Whats the choke plate doing ? Is it open or closed ? When the engine is warm and you hook the 12 volts to the choke will the engine start ? Where did you pick up the 12v for the choke ?

He has a good question.
The 12v to the choke only heats it to open.
Unplugging should close choke.
Are you stealing current from the ignition?
