U-joints again!?!

Almost 2 years and 5,000 miles ago I the two caps on my passenger side u-joint fall out. So I ordered 2 halfshafts from Van steel with non-greasable fittings. Today I feel a little rumble from the wheel and the same passenger side U-joint is missing one cap. Is this from a bad install(me or the vendor) or is there something else that may be causing this to happen? I know these cars are money and time pits but I hate doing the same job twice. Thank you

The clip came off the joint cap and it walked out until it fell off.

U-Joints

When you put in the new U-Joint make very sure the clip is seated in the groove. I had one start to come out on my 74 and I was lucky enough to see it when I was looking at something else.
