CORVETTE PACES 2002 INDY 500
I know it is probably old news to everybody, but it was announced the 2002 Vette would be the pace car for this years Indy 500. Any guesses what a convertible pace model sells for? Cant think of a better way to start the celebrations for next years 50th anniversary of the Corvette. :flag

Have not seen any pictures, just read about it. I wonder if they are going to have the Vette as a pace car in 2003. Makes sense, being the 50th anniversary. I doubt twp years in a row though. :chevy

On one hand, I hope it's not a convertible because I really wouldn't want a C5 convertible. (Looks ugly, and I prefer the increased aeros of the targa roof coupe.) Also, it would just make it more obvious that GM was more interested in money than anything...
On the other hand, I hope it is. That'd prevent me from wanting it. Prevent me from having that sick feeling in my stomach that not being able to get a 2003 Pace Car would make me have...
