Default Pushrod problem

I've got about 200 miles on my new engine so I pulled the valve covers to readjust the lifters and found that where the pushrods go through the guide plates there is damage to the pushrods, it actually has rubbed into them. I have a roller cam and rockers, the pushrods do not feel tight in the guide plates and the geometery looks to be fine. The pushrods are the stock ones. What would cause this and how do I correct it?

Don't you need hardened pushrods when using guide plates ?

Push rods will rub the guide plates in most cases that is why you need hardened pushrods

Thanks guys, I'll order some today. I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure. It's really nice having all this help.
