Default 1969 VIN locations

Besides the vin location on the windshield pillar, where can I locate other vin stamping on the car.

Thanks

There isn't any other place on the car that has the VIN except the windshield pillar however there are places that have a derivative of the VIN. I have listed the places where I am aware of where the derivative is stamped.

Engine block on the pad in front of the RH cylinder head
Transmission (not sure of the location)
[location removed by popular vote!]
Frame (two locations: one is on the left frame rail above the half-shaft. I cannot remember the other but I believe it is near one of the body mounts on the left side and not visible with the body on the car)

Regards,

Jay

It's next to number 3 driver side body mount.

I'm pretty sure your not going to find the vin stamped on the differential.

you can see the vin on the frame just after the rear drivers tire on top of the frame, back about 6" just before the body mount over the frame, you will need a mirror, with body on.

The second location is not accessable with body on, its app. where the drivers left but check sits in the car on top of the frame. 69VETT

If it's a side exhaust, on the underside of the sideshield cover in the middle will have raised numbers in the fiberglass with the vin # as well...if they are the originals.
