Driver side rear wheel with the half shaft taken off. Just replacing some u joints. I don't like all of that camber. Opinions greatly appreciated.

Yes I know I need to rebuild the rear suspension as well.

dont mind the duct tape

Rust is not your friend.

That is perfectly normal to have all that camber. The half shaft is the upper link and when removed it just allows more sagging. No problem.

I agree with gordonm! you really can't tell how much camber you have until the car is put back together and back on the ground with the suspension (has settled) for the lack of a better term.

If you haven’t torn into the right side yet here is a little tip. On the strut rod there is an eccentric bolt adjustment, top bolt. Mark the position on the eccentric washer and the frame. Then loosen and remove the hardware from the haft shaft. Then loosen the upper strut rod bolt and turn it so the eccentric pushes the wheel away from the haft shaft. This will allow enough room to drop the haft shaft for removal. It is critical that you mark the position of the eccentric bolt first.

It also appears that yout wheels are not completly off the floor. However, Gordonm is correct it is normal. If you raise the rear of your vehicle completely off the ground and put it on the jackstands, you will see the wheels sag outward. The sagging is exaggerated because you have taken the u bolt off of the u joint.

Yea they were completely off the ground. It all went well, I decided to space it out between two days and it took me a total of about 3 to 3 and a half hours. Thats a new record for me.
