so, as you all know i painstakingly replaced my gas tank and in the process broke my left hand side muffler (go figure).
What diameter muffler, piping brand etc.. should i go with to improve performance and get a nice deep resonating sound?
I've been looking at Ecklers, Doc Rebuild and others but i think i can piece together a better system than they can sell me. I've heard some good things about Magnaflow and Thrusher (spelling) but borla seems overly priced...
a few other points.. stainless steel mufflers last longer than aluminumized ones ?

You can get a 2 1/2" complete system with Magnaflows for around $350 bucks from Corvette Central. I've got this set up on my '76 & I wouldn't trade it for any other. Fit was like it came from the factory. And the sound is perfect..........

SEVNT6, how are the pipes/mufflers/connected (Clamps or welded)? Did you need any other parts? I'm thinking about ordering the 323710MAGDXB 413.35 SET. Thanks
