Default Desk Top Dyno help

Could someone run the numbers on the desk top dyno for my set-up. L-48 2 bolt main, bored .030
2 1/2" duals w/Magnaflow's, stock exhaust manifold.
Edelbrock Performer heads 64cc & Performer intake, Lunati 262 cam, CompCam roller tip rockers & roller timing set, B&M TorkMaster 2000 converter, 3.08 rears, Speed Pro 5cc pistons. SCR 9.7:1 DCR 8.1:1 Quadrajet carb. automatic trans.
I am very happy with the power increase. I smile every time I get behind the wheel, but have no idea what it is from the old 165 hp stock set-up. Or any experianced guestimates. Thanks

I'll take a run - I need a pointer to the cam card. Not the "specs" - the cam card.

Here's my pass; I had models for the L-48, 60102 cam and Edelbrock heads. Since I haven't done this for a while I'll restate the "obvious" - this is one guy's guess and "no warranty is expressed or implied".

It's important to compare apples and apples - so note that these are flywheel numbers; rear-wheel numbers are ~15% lower. The L-48 put out about 210HP and 250TQ at the flywheel.

I like that cam a bunch and I've seen good success with it although I haven't used one. You are choking the engine with the stock manifolds - you'd see another 35 peak HP and 20 peak HP with a decent set of headers.

Folks, I'm reluctant to open the floodgates on doing a bunch of these. I don't want to come off like a dick, it's just that they take a bunch of time to do right and I have projects too

If it's already built, spend the $$$ to get it dyno-tuned and get a dyno sheet with real #'s.

If you're really building an engine and not just having the engine daydreams we all have, I'm willing to tackle a few as time permits. I gotta have ALL the numbers, including the cam card (not specs) and ideally head flow specs if they're out of the mainstream. I've built over 1,000 cam and head models from published tests. I've built enough engines and dyno-validated enough builds to know when DD spits it out It's really only useful up to about 1.4HP/CID.

I posted a DD thread some time back and found myself doing 1-2/day at 20-60 minutes each, average, and you can see where that quickly becomes kind of a wild ride

I feel for you billa. I will pass as I now have the motor built and in the car. I will have to wait until I get to the BIG city (6-700 miles) for a chassis dyno. We all appreciate the effort you put in. Didn't realize how much time it actually took. Wish I could afford to buy my own desk top dyno. But the money usually goes for more parts

I know, we all get 'forum burn out'. If you get a chance. These parts are sitting in my spare room right now, the breakdown starts (hopefully) tomorrow. if you get a chance. just a quick side question, do the DD results compensate for accessories- W/P, Alt, PSP? and what do you think the loss through a M20 and 3.55 rears would be. Thanks for your time and efforts, they are appreciated. Chris
