Re: Vettes paint and interior Is complete!!! (71,454,4spd)
I did gutted the car before paint....After paint I started the wet sanding......So I would wet sand for a few hrs..Then I would work on installing the interior...This way takes the bite out of wet sanding :smash: :smash: ...I know I should have done the mechanical 1st..But my buddy gave me the go ahead to use his body shop...So I jumped at it.....So now I am looking for some Ideas on the drive train...I want some decent HP(400hp-450hp)....But don't want to have to replace the entire drivetrain...So Need some ideas...Also anyone have any experience how much HP I can put down before things start letting go?????..Will post some pics soon.........Thanks in advance

Sorry, I don't know about the HP. I'm more into cruising. So that's your buddies paint booth you were in, huh? I remember somebody asking you in a previous thread if you are professional or just do this for a hobby and you said it's a hobby. At the time I was thinking "that's an awful nice paint booth for a hobbist". Now I understand. Sounds like your coming right along.

The more miles I rack up on the 383 the more I love it! I remember that old saying... there's no replacement for displacement! If you got the money, go for the full 427 small block!
