Evaporator replacement Question
In need to replace the evaporatoor in my 71. It has a Sanden with R134and a hipo condenser.
Is there any reason that I should not install an evaporator from a very late C3 (81, 82)? Seems like a later design would perform better.
As far as I know, the evaporator case is the same size.

That's what I did to mine. Put an '82 unit in, don't forget the orifice tube. I have a Sanden with 134. I did not get the best performance until I changed to a new crossflow condensor. It produces temps now as low as 38 degrees.
Got my parts from http://www.ackits.com/. You can't beat their prices. Had hose made at local shop. Also went to a C4 blower fan. Another major improvement.
