I currently am running an edelbrock performer eps manifold because to my understanding the rpm manifold will not fit under the stock hood. I was wondering if anyone knows of a easy way to modify it to fit under the stock hood or know of another manifold that will give me more power and higher rpm range than the performer eps.
Edelbrock does not know what they are talking about. Performer RPM fits fine. You just have to replace the stock aircleaner with a low profile one.
I am using the Performer RPM Q-Jet (same height as the RPM and RPM air Gap) with a Moroso Low Profile Racing Aircleaner and 3" filter. I have about 3/4" clearance at the front of the aircleaner with the stock hood. Only mod I had to make was a slight dimple in the base for the accelerator pump arm.
I have a 72 with stock hood and I'm running an edelbrock Original Torker manifold. Single plane low rise. rated at 2000-6000. Great intake!!! Have to get used cuz they oinly make the torker II now. Not as good.
