confusing suffix code on 1970 L46

confusing suffix code on 1970 L46
my 1970 l46 block is in storage, it is the correct 3970010 stamp on the rear , but the suffix code up front by the water pump reads K0510TBC.
this does not exist according to my black book. any clues? it also has a LT1 intake off a 1972 (3959594), which is strange but not a big deal.
