I'm planning on tackeling the interior of my 76 vette. It was gutted by the previous owner.
My question is, where would you go for replacement parts?
So far I have an assembly manual, wiring diagram and a Year One cagalog coming. A quick look at the junk I have revealed I need a dash pad and the center dash was cut up for a sterio (butcher job).
Another qustion: The 76 has an all fiberglass floor, is there some way to reinforce this? I heard from someone not too reliable that a steel floor pan can be added to the existing fiberglass floor.
Also Paragon, Corvette America and Mid America and many others. Year One is fairly new to the Corvette parts suppliers the others have been around for many years.
If you want correct parts, try Doc Rebuild or Willcox. Personally, I stay away from Ecklers (a lot of junk reproduction parts). MidAmerica and Corvette Central also offer parts, some good, others not so good. there's also Keen Parts, Corvette America, Paragon, and many more. Just do a search for corvette parts.
Don't know where you got your wiring diagram from, but, after a couple of other bad choices, I got one from Doc Rebuild. They are the greatest thing since sliced bread. The diagram is laid out based on where the wire comes off of the harness and it shows all of the actual connectors, as well as, where the ground wires are supposed to be connected.

Al Knoch for interior. Very high quality. Good service too
Willcox has interior and other parts also, is a forum sponsor and takes a very active part in the forum. Also has great deals for forum members. And I have never heard a complaint. If you are replacing the whole interior, check on their package deals.

A '76 has an all metal floor. They are bad to rust out. Need to look again. '68-75 has a 'glass floor.

I will have to disagree with you, my VIN is 1Z37L6S432412, the six in the middle means 1976 and it is definately a fiberglass floor. Kinda flimsy, I don't like it.
I did my interior 5 years ago before I had heard of Wilcox. I bought my seat covers and door panels from ZIP and my carpet and foam from Corvette Central. It all came in box's stamped Mid America.
We can help you out with your interior as well, and we are currently offering free shipping on orders of $150 or more. Let me know if you have any questions.
Also, check in the for sale section of this forum, lot's of guys go with custom interiors for these years of cars, rather than original, due to thier lack of every having any true value.
For instance, I am going to be yanking the interior parts off of the t-tops soon, for more head/helmet clearance. That stuff will then be up for sale....whenever I get around to it.
