I just installed a new mirror on the passenger side. The process was a piece of cak, even I could do it. I think it balances the car and goes nicely with the chrome Hooker headers. By the way it's functional also, I can see pretty well...
Re: Passenger side mirror...has anyone installed? (jerryp58)
FYI, I just bought two new mirrors and was in the process of putting the hex screw into the new driver's side mirror when I tightened it just a bit too much. Yes the screw broke and the threaded piece is embedded in the mirror. I tried an e-z out but that broke under tension so now I have to spend another 60 bucks for a new one. I am glad that the right side is not too difficult to drill out. I have a brand new paint job and and have the fear of drilling new holes in the car. Just remember not to overtighten these hex screws.

YAY.. another dual mirror guy!! Congrats!!! One of the first things I did when I got my car was install a chrome passngr. mirror a few months ago. Just gotta have it for driving safety. Easy job.. sorry you broke the screw.. (they are a little cheezy) Most guys were nervous about drilling into the fiberglass, but check and re-check your measurments, use the template, and you should be confident. I was suprised at how thin the fiberglass was.... I expected more!!

Just installed new left and right mirrors replacing some cheap accessory black ones that I could not see out of over the back fendors. Can't function without a right one

The hardest part about installing Zip's RH mirror was getting up the nads to drill the holes. They drilled with ease. (I'm very glad someone on an earlier post reminded me to have the windows up!)
I had heard that the fiberglass was thick, but I didn't find it to be. I had a brand new bit, and cut right through the door skin with little effort. Zip's template was perfect.
I thought that my driver's mirror was in great shape until I saw the new one. I probably won't re-do the driver's side, but the RH mirror is a lot nicer.
