side pipe installation?

Default side pipe installation?

I am putting side pipes on my 1980 the side pipes are made by hooker,says competition on them.

is their a way to cover up the frame and bottom of the front fender to make this installation look better?

Put the rocker covers back on.

The pipes come with instructions that explain how to trim the rocker panels to fit the car.

You may or may not have to do some trimming on the front lower edge of the rockers where the pipes are.

On my 68 I took off the rear tires and slid the rockers into place with no trimming needed.

I removed the trim and installed the pipes and then put the trim back in place. Its a little tricky to get the trim in, you have to wiggle it and go in on an angle.

Also i found one of those telescopic magnetic thingys (used for retreving nuts and bolts in tight places) invaluable in drawing out the t-headed sidepipe bolts once the rubber was in place and for when you drop them into the rocker area, get a good quality one with a strong magnet

I guess you are saying that your vette was missing the original rocker covers? If so you can order new ones from many of the vendors supporting this forum.
