Pulling the steering wheel
Hi everybody:
My hazard lights dont work and I changed the blinker fuse and checked all my bulbs, so now I guess I will tear the steering wheel apart and change the switch. I got the steering wheel off and removed the small parts after that. Now Ive reached a circular part that goes around the rod in the center of the steering colum. I cant figure how to remove it. I put a puller on it but it didnt budge and Im afraid I will damage it if I really crank down on it. Any help would be apreciated.

you didnt mention trying to replace the flasher. i would try that before proceeding with pulling the switch. but if you need to pull you'll need a tool that allows you to push down on the plate to allow removal of the c clip. many parts store that rent tools will have this available.

To get to the turn signal switch on you T&T steering column you will need two special tools. A steering wheel hub puller and a locking plate compressor tool. Both can be purchased, rented, or borrowed from most automotive stores.
