Default rochester carb number question

I have a Rochester Q-jet (came on a 69 427/390 I bought) ID number on the rear drivers side in a circular position #7033744. Been looking all over the internet. This number does'nt make any sense. Does anyone no what this might have been on originally?

Is there another number on the drivers side towards the rear of the carb stamped vertically? That is usually where the carb number is.

That's not the carb ID number, that's the casting number for the rear housing.

there's no '33'

digit 3 = 3 means an A.I.R. engine

digit 4 = 6 for 1966
digit 4 = 7 for 1967
digit 4 = 8 for 1968
digit 4 = 9 for 1969

digit 5 isn't right either, it should either be a '2' for 49 state or '5' for CA

Sometimes these things are hard to read. Is it possible the second "3" is an "8"? Is it possible the second "7" is a "2"? If so, it would be off of a '68 Buick.

God bless, Sensei

If this is the case where's the ID number? It's not stamped vertically on the rear drivers side.

Early Qjets had their ID number on a round stamped plate attached to the carb just to the left of the qjet logo on the drivers side. Do you have an empty circle there?

I checked over the weekend with a light and magnifying glass. The number look like 7027211 (when deciphered is for a 1967 396/427 chevy with a manual trans) I guess this makes sense. Thanks for everyones input.
