That sounds really nice! Sounds almost like a mild top fuel dragster.. What brand mufflers are those? I'm starting to think its going to give a much better rap out the exhaust tips with no balance pipe at all.
If you watch the bottom video, there is a bug that starts walking across the driveway and then you blew it about 2 feet backwards when you rapped on it, lol
They are a locally made stainless steel variant of the super turbo mufflers.... (Genie Turbo) it is a reverse flow (tri-flow) design which flows about 250cfm.
I lost some power with these fitted, but I couldn't tolerate the drone with the straight thru design muffler I had first fitted with the X-pipe system.
Exhaust sound is as previously mentioned, a very subjective assessment. Everyone has their own opinions of what sounds good.
I do a lot of weekend touring, and I HATE drone!
PS... yep, that ant certainly felt a bit giddy after that throttle blip

Just came back from the muffler shop so I thought I would video the sound.. I have Headman headers, 2-1/2" pipes all the way back with no balance tube at all and Flowmaster Super 44's...
If I didnt hear the sound of Ozzy's, I would of loved it but now I'm second guessing my muffler choice
That sounds tough
There will be some changes in tone characteristics after a few weeks of use, so don't make any hasty decisions.
The flow masters you have are less restrictive than a tri-flow design, so keep that in mind...
More importantly.... is there any drone that occurs whilst driving / cruising?

Well, I just took my car for its first drive with the new motor and to be honest, I'm not impressed with these mufflers at all.. They sound great at idle but at cruise speed they quite right down to almost nothing (some people may like this feature).. There is no drone at all because they are so quite.. As you come to a stop, and the lope begins to take over, they do get much louder again. I drove by the house a few times, and at different speeds but a friend said it doesnt even sound like a muscle car going by at all.. I'm not sure if its because of the rear location of the mufflers or what but I'm going to call Flowmaster today and see what they say.. The Supper 44's are advertised as being the loudest and most free flowing mufflers Flowmaster makes so I'm pretty dissapointed at this point because I was after a loud deep tone at both idle and cruise speed...
Below is a link to a walk around video I did before taking it for a drive.. As you can tell, I had a gear drive installed and according to my friend, thats all you can hear when I drove by.
That gear drive is pretty loud, but the exhaust sounds sweet. Can you shoot an acelerating away or drive by video for us? Something like this:
It just finished raining here so I have to wait until it dries up now... Meanwhile, what type mufflers are you running? They seem to have a nice deep tone at idle too..
